For sewing machines, the most important position is undoubtedly the needle. This is a consumable, and long-term use can cause some level of damage. Improper use of the equipment can cause deformation and damage to the needle.
Therefore, in the entire sewing process, everyone should try to check the condition of the machine needles as much as possible, and also understand how to replace the machine needles. Next, the editor will teach everyone how to know the condition of the needle and how to replace it. Let's learn and train together~
How do I know the condition of the needle
Step 1:
Please place the flat side of the needle on the floor plan (level table). Check the condition of the needle and both sides of the machine needle. If the needle cannot be used due to bending, please carry out safety measures when discarding it.
Step 2:
If the needle is in the first condition shown in the figure below, it is the ultimate situation. In order to ensure smooth sewing, the needle must be kept vertical and sharp.
How to replace the needle
Kind reminder:
Before replacing the needle, please try to turn off the sewing machine as much as possible. Otherwise, if the control board is accidentally stepped on and the sewing machine starts sewing, it is very likely to cause injury. Suggest using high-quality sewing machine needles, as using other needles is likely to bend, break, and cause injury. Never use bent needles for sewing. Curved needles are very prone to rupture and are likely to cause injury.
Step 1:
First, turn off the sewing machine. Rotate the handwheel in its own direction (opposite direction/in its own pocket) and extend the needle so that the mark on the handwheel faces upwards (i.e. the highest point of the needle). Learn to put down the presser foot lever again (with sufficient pre embedded space for needle changing).
PS: Before replacing the needle, place the fabric or paper on the sole of the presser foot to prevent the needle from falling into the needle plate hole.
Step 2:
Hold the needle with your right hand, then use an oval screwdriver (which can be replaced with a one yuan coin) to rotate the needle clamp screw in the opposite direction and remove the needle.
PS: When loosening or tightening the needle clamp screw, do not use too much force, otherwise it may damage some components of the sewing machine.
Step 3:
Place the flat side of the machine needle facing towards the back of the sewing machine, and insert the needle until it touches the needle stopper. Then use an oval screwdriver (which can be replaced with a one yuan coin) to tighten the needle clamp.
